Bill Mensch is the Concierge at Lake Macquarie Memorial Park

Meet staff member Bill

Our Concierge, Bill Mensch has decades of experience in serving customers who are experiencing grief and so is able to extend a special type of care to those who come to our office for an appointment or any kind of assistance.

“I just like people,” Bill says as he explains his approach to customer service. “I approach each person with an understanding of what they might be going through, and with a high standard of professionalism.”

There’s a lot for a Concierge to do at a memorial park. Bill is most often asked by visitors for directions to the chapel, or to help find a memorial in the grounds.

“Ensuring families know where to go or where to find a loved one is what I most enjoy,” says Bill.

“The community awareness of what we do has increased, along with our range of services and what the Park can offer the community. We have opened up new areas within the Park, for natural memorials, to honour veterans, and for those who have lost a child.

I love the location. We are in a breath-taking valley in a rural area, and yet we’re not far from anywhere as the M1 connects us with Sydney and Newcastle.

My favourite areas in the Park are our memorials near our lakes and water features.”
