Each year, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park is proud to play host to a range of community, cultural and religious events and commemorations so that the communities around us can pay their respects to departed loved ones, as well as fulfil important cultural and religious obligations.
We are proud to be supported by the Caring Community Friends (link to below content) in the events that we arrange.
Lullaby Memorial Service
Lake Macquarie Memorial Park hosts an annual memorial service to honour all of the children taken away from families too soon. The pain of losing a young life never truly leaves you, and in acknowledgement of this Lake Macquarie offers local families the chance to pay tribute to these young lives, in an uplifting and supportive environment.
Refreshments provided after the service in our Tea Room.
We would be honoured if you join us for this moving memorial service.
Anzac Memorial Service
Also in April, each year Lake Macquarie Memorial Park hosts a moving service of remembrance in honour of Anzac Day, and in celebration of all those who have served in Australia’s armed forces.
Held in conjunction with the RSL, this service has become a feature of the City of Lake Macquarie’s Anzac Day commemoration.
We would be honoured if you joined with us as we say thanks and pay our respects to Australia’s service personnel.
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Memorial Services
In May and September, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park hosts uplifting services of tribute in honour of the mothers, mother-figures, fathers and father-figures who are no longer with us.
Whether the person you are remembering passed away recently or some time ago, these services provide a great way to include your thoughts and feelings for a missing loved one at this family-oriented time of the year.
We extend an invitation to all in the community to come and share in the warmth of our Mother’s Day and Father’s Day services.
The Remembrance Service is held every year on the 11th November in the Remembrance area of Lake Macquarie Memorial Park.
In conjunction with Toronto RSL the service pays tribute to the men and women who have served in wars across the 20th century and is to commemorate the end of Wold War 1.
