Lake Macquarie Memorial Park is the Lower Hunter’s premier provider of burial and cremation memorial spaces.

Established in 1994 and possessing 61 acres of serene gardens, lawns and landscaping, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park is one of the largest, independently owned cemeteries in our region.

Conveniently located near the junction of the M1 (F3) and the Toronto turnoff, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park can be easily accessed by car.

Choice, professional maintenance and family connection; these are three of the reasons why families from across the Hunter choose to memorialise their loved ones at Lake Macquarie Memorial Park.

Memorial Choices

Lake Macquarie Memorial Park has the widest selection of burial and cremation memorials, so you can choose how to remember and honour a loved one.

We have lawn and headstone burials, cultural options, a Remembrance Garden Veteran’s memorial area, natural burials and memorials, a children’s memorial area, and a wide range of commemorative plaques to choose from. We also have the Lower Hunter’s largest selection of cremation memorial options. Lake Macquarie Memorial Park also offers the people of the Hunter the opportunity for families to be memorialised together, through options like our cremation and burial family estates, finished in either bush rock or granite.

We are a non-denominational memorial park and can cater for all cultures and religions, and with over 61 acres of space, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park has space for individual and family memorials for generations to come.

Professional Maintenance

From the first time you visit Lake Macquarie Memorial Park, you will witness just how visually stunning a modern cemetery can be.

Lake Macquarie Memorial Park is a fresh flower only and a no-ornamentation memorial park. Our grounds feature a peaceful, open and natural setting that is maintained throughout the year by our team of qualified and experienced grounds staff.

Family Connection

Having served the City of Lake Macquarie and the Lower Hunter region for twenty years, almost every family will have a connection to us. We are also easily accessed, as we are conveniently located near the junction of the M1 motorway and the Toronto turnoff.

Our History

Lake Macquarie Memorial Park is the largest and most beautiful independently-owned memorial space in the Lower Hunter.

Formerly used as farm land, in the early 1990s, local residents, the Green family, had a vision to turn their fields into parkland suitable for burials and cremation memorials.

Originally designed to challenge the dour notions of what a cemetery looks like, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park is a wide, open, light and airy space; a peaceful place set amongst a sprawling natural setting.

Compare us to other cemeteries in the area, which can be bewildering and crowded places, and you will see that Lake Macquarie Memorial Park remains true to its original vision and sets a new standard for cemeteries in the area.

Today, Lake Macquarie Memorial Park remains an Australian-owned and operated business that is committed to serving all of people and faiths of the City of Lake Macquarie and the surrounding Lower Hunter region.
